Our Board Members
Each of our members have a strong connection to animal health and well-being! We are passionate about our foundation and would love to meet you.
Amanda
President
Amanda is a full-time professor with a private counseling practice and has a life rich with roles— a dedicated wife, mother, and caretaker to her beloved family pets: Denver, a K-9 officer, Jax the Lab, and Indo the cat. Her deep-rooted commitment to helping extends beyond humans to animals in need. This foundation is inspired by her late father's legacy and the teachings he instilled in her to have a profound respect for all living beings. This motivated her to give back through the B.A.C.K. Foundation.
Lisa
Treasurer
Lisa Pharis is a dedicated nurse, wife, and mother of three wonderful kids. Her passion for animals led her to help establish the B.AC.K Foundation, which aims to provide essential resources to animals in need. This foundation is a tribute to her late father, who instilled in her a deep love and respect for animals.
Sarah
Sarah is a veterinarian and owns a practice with her husband in Knightstown, Indiana. She has felt passionate about animal welfare and has nurtured her love for animals since she was a young girl helping animals from companion animals to exotics and wildlife. When she was approached to help establish B.A.C.K Foundation she knew this was going to be a great way to continue her drive to give back!
Sarah
Vice President
Kristin has been working in the veterinary profession since 2009 and has a strong passion for veterinary medicine and helping animals. Our
Story
Open Letter to our community:
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Bill Andrew Cadwallader K-9 (B.A.C.K.) Foundation. The foundation honors the legacy of Bill Cadwallader, a man profoundly shaped by his deep roots in Henry County and the surrounding area. His compassionate nature and boundless love for animals drove him to advocate for their well-being, shaping the core values of our foundation.
The B.A.C.K. Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of animals by advocating for their welfare and protection, ensuring they are treated with compassion and dignity. Our work encompasses rescue and rehabilitation organizations as well as educational programs aimed at fostering a community that values and respects every animal. While we initially focus on Henry County and its neighboring regions, our vision is expansive.
Animals profoundly enrich our lives; it's time we give B.A.C.K. Join us in making a difference-whether through volunteering, donating, or spreading the word, your support is crucial. We are proud to be recognized as a charitable organization and can accept donations through PayPal or in person through one of our board members. Our immediate goal is to support our local K-9 officer, Denver, by providing him with essential items to perform his duties safely and effectively.
We know the possibilities are endless and so together, we can create a lasting impact in the lives of animals.
